SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, LLC. Effective Date: October 12, 2026
Welcome to SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, LLC ("SLO Venture Fitness Retreats," "we," "our," or "us"). By registering for, paying for, or participating in the SLO Locals Weekend, including any day pass ("the Retreat"), offered by SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, you ("Participant") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Participant Eligibility
Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the Retreat. SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, LLC does not accept minors as participants.
2. Reservation & Payment
Full payment is due at the time of booking. Your spot is confirmed once payment is received and all required forms (Participant Waiver, Intake Form) are completed. Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated.
3. Cancellation by Participant
4 weeks or more before the Retreat: full refund.
Between 2 and 4 weeks before the Retreat: 50% refund.
Less than 2 weeks before the Retreat: no refund.
No refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures, or missed activities. You may transfer your spot to another eligible participant (18+) with written notice and approval from Tom and Alex, which will not be unreasonably withheld.
4. Cancellation by SLO Venture Fitness Retreats
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Retreat, or any part of it, due to:
Insufficient participant enrollment
Severe weather
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Safety concerns
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
If we cancel the Retreat, participants may choose either a full refund of amounts paid to SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, or a credit toward a future event. SLO Venture Fitness Retreats is not responsible for airfare, transportation costs, hotel expenses outside the retreat, travel insurance, lost wages, or other expenses incurred by participants.
5. Travel Insurance (if travelling to the retreats)
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Participants are responsible for obtaining any desired insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, lost luggage, flight interruptions, and personal belongings. SLO Venture Fitness Retreats is not responsible for any costs not covered by insurance.
6. Medical Fitness
Participants affirm that they are physically capable of participating in retreat activities, which may include, but are not limited to: strength training, hiking, running, yoga, mobility sessions, swimming, outdoor recreation, and group fitness classes.
Participants agree to disclose any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, or physical limitations before the retreat. SLO Venture Fitness Retreats reserves the right to refuse or limit participation in specific activities if participation would create an unreasonable safety risk.
7. Infectious Disease
Participants acknowledge that group travel, shared accommodations, communal dining, and close-contact group activities carry an inherent risk of exposure to contagious illnesses, including but not limited to viral and bacterial infections. SLO Venture Fitness Retreats LLC is not responsible for illness contracted before, during, or after the Retreat as a result of such exposure. Participants agree to notify retreat staff promptly if they are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness and to follow any health and safety guidance provided by SLO Venture Fitness Retreats LLC during the Retreat.
8. Assumption of Risk
Participation in fitness and adventure activities involves inherent risks including, but not limited to: falls, slips, trips, uneven terrain and outdoor hazards, equipment failure, muscle strains, sprains, and fractures, physical exertion, heat-related illness and dehydration, allergic reactions, encounters with animals or wildlife, weather-related hazards, transportation-related incidents, serious injury, disability, illness, and death.
Participants acknowledge these risks and agree to participate voluntarily. Participants must also sign a separate Liability Waiver before attending.
9. Participant Conduct
We strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment. Participants agree to:
Treat fellow guests, coaches, guides, and staff respectfully.
Follow all safety instructions.
Respect accommodations and property.
Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior.
Comply with applicable laws.
SLO Venture Fitness Retreats reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior jeopardizes the safety, enjoyment, or wellbeing of others. No refund will be issued if removal is necessary.
10. Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, LLC as set forth in the Participant Waiver and Release of Liability, which each Participant is required to sign prior to attending the Retreat.
11. Governing Law & Amendment
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, LLC reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking will govern your reservation unless otherwise required by law.
By registering for a retreat, submitting payment, or participating in any retreat offered by SLO Venture Fitness Retreats, LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
12. Venue
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Luis Obispo County, California, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
