We’ve designed each experience to show you all the best qualities of the Central Coast - whether you’re catching your first wave, hiking a scenic ridge, paddling through hidden sea caves, or unwinding with ocean dips and wine tasting in the hills.

This isn’t just another itinerary - it’s a week that combines hard training, chasing adventure, and a much needed reset.

KAYAKING

We partner with Central Coast Surf School for full-service guided kayak tours exploring the stunning Dinosaur Caves, sea arches, and hidden coves along the cliffs just north of downtown Pismo.

Led by their professional guides, these tours are safe, easy, and fun for all levels - no experience necessary. You’ll paddle through calm protected waters, spot sea otters, seals, and pelicans, and learn about the local history and marine life along the way.

SURFING

We partner with Cal Coast Adventures to deliver a classic California surfing experience on the Central Coast.

For beginners, you’ll start with a thorough safety briefing, an overview of surf conditions, and basic techniques. After the briefing, you’ll get over an hour in the ocean with your instructor, who will guide you into waves, help with positioning, and provide real-time coaching to help you stand up and build confidence.

For more experienced surfers, you’re welcome to join the instructors to refine your skills and take your surfing to the next level. However, joining the class is optional - you’re also free to surf on your own. Boards and wetsuits are provided for all guests regardless of whether you join the class.

HIKING

We take full advantage of San Luis Obispo’s incredible network of trails and peaks. You’ll hike scenic routes that offer breathtaking panoramic views of rolling hills, rugged mountains, and the Pacific Ocean.

Hikes are self-guided by Tom and Alex, so you can move at your own pace, stop for photos, and fully immerse yourself in the landscape. Whether you want a steady climb or a more relaxed rhythm, these hikes provide the perfect mix of physical challenge and natural beauty.

These hiking days are often a highlight of the retreat - a chance to connect with nature, push yourself, and enjoy the stunning Central Coast scenery.

SURFSIDE SAUNA

After a full day of training and adventure, we head to Avila Beach for a unique recovery session at the oceanside sauna.

We’ll start with a short scenic run to get there, then enjoy the heat of the sauna with the option to dip in and out of the ocean as much as you like. This contrast therapy (sauna + cold ocean plunges) is incredibly effective for muscle recovery, reducing inflammation, and resetting your nervous system.

It’s one of the most refreshing and popular experiences on the retreat - combining movement, heat, cold water, and beautiful ocean views.

WINERY

We head into the scenic hills of San Luis Obispo for a private wine tasting at Filipponi Ranch - a beautiful, secluded family-owned winery in the heart of Central Coast wine country.

Set on a stunning property with a relaxed event space and plenty of lawn, the ranch is perfect for our group. You’ll enjoy excellent local wines while playing lawn games like bocce ball and horseshoes. We’ll always get some friendly competition going.

It’s the perfect way to unwind, connect with the group, and experience the laid-back charm of California wine country.

E-Bike Tour

We team up with Cal Coast Adventures to offer a fun and scenic guided electric bike tour through beautiful Morro Bay. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, you’ll ride comfortable e-bikes along the coast, exploring iconic landmarks including Morro Rock, Estero Bay, Morro Strand Beach, and the state park.

You’ll enjoy breathtaking coastal views, rolling hills, and peaceful bays while learning about the area’s natural beauty and history. The tour is flexible and tailored to the group’s pace and interests - whether you want to dive into local stories and ecology or simply cruise, take photos, and soak in the stunning scenery.
